tasting note vaccelli rouge 2022

During the Christmas holidays 2025, I had the opportunity to taste this wine, which particularly impressed me. This is why I would like to share my tasting notes with you.

Visually, the wine shows a slight red-tinged, brick hue. On the nose, it reveals freshness with floral and red fruit notes, such as currant, reminiscent of a Burgundy-style Pinot Noir. Yet, this wine is made from the Sciaccarellu grape, with vines aged 15, 20, and 50 years, and winemaker Gérard Courrèges has crafted a wine of remarkable finesse and talent.

On the palate, it offers crisp red fruit flavors, juicy and vibrant, accompanied by exceptional elegance and finesse. The structure is beautiful, with impressive depth. This wine still has aging potential, while being enjoyable to drink now.
